In 2019, Eric Tabb pioneered the idea of fostering relationships across schools through sports, starting with three schools. Recognizing the need for educators to have a platform to connect, decompress, and enjoy the company of their peers, he established EDL in the spring of 2022. At present, EDL is a league that is all-encompassing, welcoming educators of all genders and races in the Boston locality. As time has progressed, EDL has grown and linked up with almost 200 educators.
